Our Story:

Barb and Jess are the co-founders of Counselor Besties, a venture born from their extensive experience navigating the challenges and demands of the high school counseling profession. Over more than a decade of collaboration, they cultivated a strong bond rooted in mutual support and understanding. What initially began as routine "morning meetings" evolved into collaborative brainstorming sessions, where they exchanged ideas on improving various facets of education, parenting, college admissions, and life in general.

Amidst the myriad of frustrating, surprising, and profoundly human moments encountered in their roles, Barb and Jess discovered shared experiences that strengthened their connection. This bond led to the establishment of Counselor Besties, with a core mission to serve as a catalyst for positive change in their field and beyond.
